Do You Need a Lawyer to Get Divorced?
Whehever people are about to get divorced, they usually retain a lawyer. You may not need a lawyer just because you’re getting divorced. Not going that route can certainly save a lot of money. However, sometimes, you’ll need to use one of their services.
The main reason why you may not need a divorce is if you and your soon-to-be ex can be civil with each other. It’s important that the two of you work on issues such as property, money, and custody. If the two of you can work all of these issues out, the court may grant a divorce without needing a lawyer.
If you can’t reach a conclusion about these issues on your own, then you’ll certainly need a lawyer. If you can’t reach an agreeement by yourselves, then you’ll need to use lawyers to help you reach one.
